4 weeks and counting

There was a period of time, in the not too distant past, that Tim and I felt like we were in state of perpetual waiting, a holding pattern, with all kinds of plans that needed to be made, but no solid information on which we could begin making them. I can now say with confidence, that this is an exhausting way to live.
But since Tim accepted his new position, we’ve figured out what I’ll do to help support our family financially, and we’ve {finally} found a house and identified someone to help us sell ours, life is moving at warp speed. Our To Do lists are miles long and any free minute we have (from checking things off said lists or working, which I’m still doing full time) is spent keeping our house clean – since it needs to be ready at all times for showings. (We Tim spend’s a lot of time keeping our house clean. Thank you, love.)

At the same time, we are acutely aware that our time here is limited. After 9 years here – the longest I’ve ever lived in one place (save my childhood home) – we have just one month left, and we want to take advantage of every opportunity we have to savor it. Which is what we did this weekend.

puzzles in the afternoon sun.

sailing, at The Museum of Life & Science.

watching lemurs.

trying to sit still.

browsing Garden & Gun at a friend’s house.

sunday morning drive.

early morning walk around campus.

halls of higher ed.

building a bear’s house.

sum & water.

music on the lawn.

water slide bliss.

home repairs.

moonrise and goodnight.
